School Visits

Victoria Winifred, a dynamic educator and celebrated author, injects boundless energy into her school and chess club visits, whether in-person or virtual. With her infectious enthusiasm, she brings lessons to life through an array of captivating activities that encompass reading, movement, music, and interactive engagement. Victoria’s sessions are not just educational; they’re an adventure, integrating STEM concepts and reinforcing learning standards while igniting a passion for learning in children. I offer flat fees for half-day and full-day sessions. If your school lacks funding for author visits, reach out and together we will create a plan to still make it work.

Half Day:

  • Up to three 30-60 minute presentations with Q&A

Full Day:

  • 3 presentations (30- 60 minutes each) with Q&A
  • 2 additional small-group activities tailored to your ideas and needs (i.e., writing workshops, chess lesson)
  • Bonus: 20-minute read-aloud session for children with unique challenges, at no extra charge
  • All in-person full-day visits offer a full set of lesson plans and assessments for a unit of study built around her award-winning book, The Princess, the Knight, and the Lost God: A Chess Story.

Personalized inscriptions will be arranged for all book purchases for all in-person visits.

Out-of-Town In-Person School Visits

  • Flat rates can be provided including travel and meal expenses; reductions for multiple-day visits with partner/local schools in your area
  • Evening events (Literacy Night, Parents’ Meetings) for visits that include travel/overnights may be included as or added on as an activity.

Virtual Visits

Sessions can run up to 60 minutes depending on your preference. Reduced rates can be provided for bookings of 3+ sessions.
